Alexandra was inspired to set up a number of disability respite services after seeking to have more choice and control
over the disability supports and services available to her own family. Her husband David is quadriplegic.

“We looked towards people to help us, service providers to come in and assist us but it wasn’t very long until we
realised we were going to do a better job ourselves,” Alexandra said.

“For us, it was about being able to deliver David with the quality of life that he wanted to live.”

In 2014, Alexandra fulfilled a long-term ambition to establish a charity that could step up during crisis situations
and PROVIDE EMERGENCY SUPPORT for families at breaking point – a need largely unmet in our community today.

Just as organisations such as Young Care and Make-A-Wish Australia were established to meet a special need
in our society, so to Play List Group was born.

Your DONATION to Play List Group will make a huge impact on the lives of Australian families living with serious disability.

The number of Australians with disability remained steady at 18.5 per cent
of the population or 4.2 million people. Of these, 1.4 million Australians had a
profound or severe limitation affecting their mobility, self-care or communication.
